This was a breakthrough grassroots movement that harnessed the power of social media to unite and deliver a cohesive voice for Australia’s two million, overlooked, overtaxed and overregulated small business owners, in the lead-up to the 2013 Australian Federal Election.
A world-first website acted as the central hub for an activated community of small business advocates – which aggregated content and data from social networks 24/7 – to create buzz and discussion around small business issues and deliver a dynamic, live community ‘petition’ to politicians. Integrated social media channels enabled small business people to share their stories as a cohesive and unified voice.
Online ads, eDMs, radio, press, print, TV, outdoor, roadshows and PR opportunities extended the campaign’s reach.
