Fancy a cocktail that is out of this world?

Jose Cuervo celebrated National Margarita Day in the U.S. by mixing margaritas in outer space, because a ridiculous holiday calls for a crazy stunt, right? Using aerospace technology and GPS tracking, the tequila brand launched a margarita-filled cocktail shaker skyward. Severe winds at high altitude helped to mix the drink, while the extreme cold froze it. That’s one small drink for man, one giant hangover for mankind…

KFC are wanting you to eat what?!

KFC has unveiled Scoff-ee Cups – edible coffee cups made out of cookies, sugar paper, and heat resistant white chocolate. Instead of throwing paper cups in the trash, coffee drinkers can now help the environment by eating the branded cookie cups. It’s not just a great PR stunt, it’s also a pretty unique way to tell consumers that KFC is invested in creating quality products.

Your real-life chocolate golden ticket

In an effort to rejuvenate tourism in Northern Japan, train travellers are trading tickets for KitKats. The move is a first for the Japanese rail company, with the special KitKat packs cheaper than a standard ticket. The ‘KitKat train ticket’ is the latest in a series of steps taken by Nestle to support the reconstruction of the Sanriku Railway, following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit the area a number of years ago.

Sex, violence and Power Rangers

Pop music video director Joseph Kahn, last week brought a dark, NSFW take to the kids sci-fi Power Rangers franchise with his short film, Power/Rangers. The film took the internet by storm and stars Dawson himself, James Van Der Beek. With the multiple versions floating around both Vimeo and YouTube (due to copyright issues), it’s hard to say just how many views this short has garnered in the last week. There’s one thing for certain though, we would definitely go see the full live-action Power Rangers film if this is anything to go by!
