At BCM we’re lucky to have so many remarkable young people. If we didn’t realise just how remarkable, we need look no further than those who recently submitted for the Career Acceleration Program (CAP).
The quality of submissions was so good, it was tough choosing only three finalists.
Congrats go to Tash, Dave and Carly.
They have the opportunity, over the next 12 months, to learn from senior agency mentors. They’ll gain first-hand experience across all agency departments, which will give them great insight into collaborating and leading teams in the future.
The ultimate winner of the program will jet off to the next chapter of SXSW in Houston.
The people who entered CAP were all under 30. We asked them to think about the year 2025 and what BCM would need to do to remain successful and relevant.
Our CAP entrants all foresaw an even more digitally-led future. A future where big data, data science, AI and machine learning led to better, more effective consumer communications and client solutions.
Many also predicted a more agile, flexible and fast-changing workplace. Some suggested that the current agency services would likely rapidly evolve to become much broader, focusing not only on creating advertising, but applying our creative and design know-how to products, services and consumer experiences.
“The best way to predict the future
is to create it.”
Abraham Lincoln said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” What CAP proves is we have a bunch of very talented young people who are more than able to thoughtfully consider the future (the first step to creating and preparing for it).
Based on what I’ve seen from the CAP participants, I think we’re very fortunate to have so much young talent in the agency.
“With these leaders of tomorrow, I have no doubt we are in very good hands.”
PS: The winner of CAP will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
