6 from 6. You’d have to be happy with that.

You know you must be doing something right when you come away from one of Australia’s leading marketing awards programs having recognition for every one of the 6 campaigns you entered.

Well, that was the ‘wash up’ after we attended AMI’s Queensland State Marketing Excellence Awards last week where we were awarded 9 Finalists and picked up 5 awards for the top prize in 5 categories. This included wins for:

Are You Driving Blind?’ Driver Distractions campaign for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.


Learning Potential’ developed for the Federal Department of Education and Training.


Reduce Your Juice’ produced for CitySmart, in conjunction with research partner QUT.


We also came away with two wins for our work for Sunsuper – the Content Marketing award for ‘The Dream Project’ and the Corporate Social Responsibility award for ‘Dreams For A Better World’.

Last week’s success followed our 9 Finalists and 2 wins at the recent AMI National Marketing Excellence Awards held in Sydney.


So, it turned out that every campaign we entered into this year’s AMI Awards received some sort of recognition, be it a National or State Finalist, or a National or State award.  So we’re pretty sure that must be some sort of AMI (and agency) record!

The Australian Marketing Institute’s long-running awards program (now in its 34th year) showcases and celebrates excellence in marketing, with entries judged on their innovation, creativity and effectiveness – demonstrating, in particular, measurable results and outcomes which contributed value to the client’s organisation.

All of our awarded work was indeed creative, very innovative, on-target for the respective audiences, and highly effective.

This sort of success ultimately says a lot about the very talented team we have at BCM who develop such great work. It also speaks volumes for our forward thinking clients and the close collaborative partnerships we enjoy with them.  It’s definitely fantastic recognition for both the agency and our clients to be judged by leading peers in the industry as producing some of the country’s best marketing campaigns.

So a big well done to us! And a big thanks to our clients.
